Air purifier for dog smell & odour
That lingering 'doggy house' smell is gases, not particles — which is exactly why a normal HEPA purifier doesn't touch it. Here's what actually clears dog odour from a room.
Why odour needs carbon, not just HEPA
Dog smell is made of odour molecules — gases given off by skin oils, saliva and damp fur. A HEPA or MERV-13 filter is a mesh that traps particles; gases pass straight through it. To remove smell you need activated carbon, a porous material that adsorbs odour molecules onto its surface.
The two-stage answer
The Luggable Carbon runs both stages: a MERV-13 layer for hair and dander, plus an activated-carbon layer for the smell. That combination is what clears a room that always smells of dog, rather than just masking it with a plug-in.
Where to run it
Put it where your dog spends most time — usually the living room or by the bed/crate. Run it continuously; carbon works constantly as air passes through, so the room stays fresh rather than smelling clean only right after you've aired it. At about 15 watts it costs pennies a day to leave on.
Reduce the source too
Wash bedding and the dog's blankets regularly, and towel a wet dog before it dries indoors. The purifier keeps the ambient air fresh; controlling damp fur stops the smell being regenerated.
